Cumhuriyet in ilan edilmesiyle birlikte yeni yonetimin bolgede var olanlar uzerine neler eklemis oldugunu sorgulayan bu calismada, sehirde var olan Bati etkisi ve kulturuyle, sehri devralan Cumhuriyet in eklemlenme sureci tartisilmistir. Arastirmamizda sehirde Cumhuriyet in ilanindan sonraki degisimler on plana cikmis olsa da, sehri meydana getiren unsurlar ve bunlarin gecmisle olan bagini kurmak adina bazen bu tarihlemenin de gerilerine gidilmistir.
